County Social Services Payroll/Benefits/Commitment Specialist

County Social Services (CSS) Mental Health and Disability Service Region has a job opening for a full-time Payroll/Benefits/Commitment Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of CSS payroll on a bi-weekly basis including data entry, calculating, verifying information or data.  Other job duties include maintaining and auditing appropriate records to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of wage and benefit information to outside agencies, performing benefits administration in accordance with CSS policies and applicable state and federal laws, etc. This position also processes mental health commitments, hospital telehealth evaluations, and other claims processing as needed.

Job Qualifications include: a high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in business, accounting, or related field OR four (4) years of job-related experience in accounting/payroll processing. Previous experience with computerized payroll systems and reporting is preferred.
